Chris Chiarelli
Drums
Chris Chiarelli hails from Peterborough, where he made a name for himself as a talented, versatile drummer. While working as a music instructor, he played in several bands such as rock & blues band The Blueshounds, jazz combo The Eve Simmons Quartet, and folk group The Cheryl Beatty band. Chris then went on to lead is own band, The Chris Chiarelli Quartet.
Chris later went on to attend Humber College, taking part in arguably the highest regarded music program in the country. While preparing for his studies, Chris took lessons with Paul DeLong, and then during his program, studied under Don Vickery.
Not only has Chris proven himself to be a solid and versatile performer, but innovative and adaptive in his playing and kit setup. He will play a traditional acoustic kit, an electronic set, or will even create a make-shift kit if he feels it appropriate. Bandmate Andrew Taylor recalls Chris utilizing his snare case and a block of wood as a bass drum in order to create a full, compact, and very transportable drum kit.
Most recently, Chris has been performing in various rock bands around Toronto, most notably 'The Brewski Boys'.
